Brighton House
Stunning best describes this
immaculately presented regency townhouse. It has a romantic 4-poster bedroom, balcony room, and a variety of other bedrooms, all of which are just fabulous. Apart from the obvious comforts and delicious breakfasts, the real emphasis is the timeless sense of elegance and style that flows effortlessly throughout the house. Owned and run by the remarkable Christine and Lucho.

This period townhouse provides fabulous ocean views across one of Brighton's most elegant squares. The furnishings and decor are impeccable and do a great justice to this building and its fine heritage with many of the spacious bedrooms and in particular the balcony room having stunning views across the fine square to the ocean beyond. Sue and Steve, the owners, are a welcoming and friendly couple.

Steph the owner, an incredibly talented lady, has created this sophisticated, stylish and chic boutique hotel where oriental opulence meets regency Brighton. Her use of wall coverings
, from Lauren to bespoke Alexander Beauchamp, in the beautifully furnished bedrooms is simply fabulous. The en-suites are just stunning: matt black and white tiling with polished chrome fittings. Steph's insistence on perfection means that you will be sleeping in Savoy-standard beds but it doesn't end there: satin kimonos, kettles by Bodum and L'Occitane toiletries. The whole place simply oozes class with a friendly and relaxed vibe - wow.

The Kings Hotel
Drifting off to sleep with the ever-present gentle rush of the surf and waking up in a room that doesn't assault the senses is my idea of heaven. The design style for me is simply fabulous, soft contemporary minimalism punctuated with colonial and a touch of urban Japan with lashings of leather, which is just sensational. The tapas bar and restaurant produce Chelsea class food with honesty and passion, and the bar stays open till the wee small hours for residents. Shaun Donachie and his hard working, friendly and welcoming team of staff are a class act.

Motel Schmotel
Snuggled amongst other fine Regency townhouses in pretty Russell Square sits this neat guest house, just 2 minutes from all the vibrancy that Brighton is famous for: exclusive shops, bars, restaurants, clubs and the famous seafront. Amsy, Paul and Jackson are the fun and friendly trio who own and run this great little guest house whose rooms are clean, crisp, bright, happy and appealing. Wait until you try their award winning organic and locally sourced breakfasts in bed, just fabulous. These guys are class acts at hospitality.

Marina West Hotel
Amongst a terrace of Grade II Regency townhouses in a quiet conservation street, near to the vibrant buzz of restaurants and nightlife, sits the Marina West. The style is moderately eclectic but pleasingly so. The bedrooms are beautifully presented with the odd four-poster bed and a smattering of chintz here and there. A great little place to stay with a late night bar that stages entertainment including hilariously good drag shows. The friendly hosts Robert and the
two Bobs ensure a fabulous stay.

The Oriental
This fabulous Grade II Georgian guest house in Oriental Place just a stone's throw from the sea has a uniquely refreshing view on design and service. Thoughtfully unpretentious yet unashamedly Brighton, The Oriental is like staying with old friends who just happen to own a stunning, chic, boutique guest house: relaxed, unfussy but with all the finishing touches of a hotel. With the exception of the obvious style and comfort, the real brief here is good old-fashioned customer service and Catherine's hand picked friendly team of staff are a class act at hospitality.

myhotel Brighton
Wow - this hotel really rocks. Once described as where Freddie Mercury might have met the Maharishi, this amazing hotel is exhilarating and sexy. Imagine state-of-the-art technology combined with the spiritual and serene principles of feng shui. The unique ethos of myhotel is that each guest is treated as an individual and prior to arrival is given a "mypreferences form" which allows you to choose from the kind of in-room music to still or sparkling water. Is there anything they have forgotten? The atmosphere is unhurried, friendly, relaxed and nothing is too much trouble for the staff.

This is another must stay.

We have found another guest house gem, just seconds from the vibrant and historic Lanes. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated, elegantly furnished and accessorised. Hazel seems to have thought of everything to make your stay special from the bathrobes to the Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries. Can there be anywhere more fitting to eat one of Hazel's fabulous home made breakfasts than her elegantly stylish and modern dining room.

Brighton Royal Hotel
Overlooking the Royal Pavilion and just a short stroll from many of Brighton's major attractions: Museum, Art Gallery, the theatres Royal and Dome, not forgetting the famous pier. The owner Mario is a really friendly guy and very modest, so don't take everything you read on his website at face value. The style of his hotel is a mix of Africa, Moorish and Colonial, polished wood floors, very comfortable & well equipped bedrooms. There is a great little roof terrace and cellar bar. One thing's for sure: it's a very friendly little place.
